Sätt er ner nu. WizKids har tillkännagett att de skapar ett Star Trek: Frontiers Board Game baserat på reglerna från Mage Knight av Vlaada Chvátil.

Vlaada kommer inte själv designa det nya Star Trekspelet, utan det faller på Andrew Parks bord. Parks har tidigare skapat flera licenstunga spel som Star Trek: Attack Wing, Dungeons & Dragons: Attack Wing, X-Men Mutant Revolution samt brädspel för Gremlins, Hogwarts, Hunger Games, Justice League, Nightmare Before Christmas och Office Space.
“Like the Mage Knight board game, Star Trek: Frontiers allows players to explore areas that are new and different each time they play. I can’t wait for Star Trek fans to start commanding their Federation and Klingon ships as they encounter Romulan Warbirds, send carefully chosen away teams down to unknown planets, and challenge the might of the Borg”, meddelar Andrew Parks.
Det kommer finnas multipla scenarion, erfarenhetspoäng och reputation, som i Mage Knight. I stället för hjältar gestaltar spelarna var sin kapten som rekryterar personal till sina skepp medan de “boldly goes where no man has gone before”.
Spelet är för 1-4 spelare med regler för att både spela med eller mot dina medspelare. Star Trek: Frontier planeras släppas under februari 2016 med ett rekommenderat pris på $79,99.
