Effekterna av Black Lives Matter-rörelsen fortsätter genskjuta genom spelkulturen. Wizards of the Coast passar på att ta tag i sitt förflutna och städa upp bland äldre kort.
Sju kort från 1994 och framåt har valts ut för att de bedöms vara antingen rasistiska eller kulturellt stötande. Alla bilder på korten är borttagna från officiella sidor och databaser.

- Jihad
- Imprison
- Crusade
Kortbilderna ersätts med följande uttalande.

There’s no place for racism in our game, nor anywhere else. But to that point, it should never have been published nor placed in the Gatherer. And for that we are sorry. The events of the past weeks and the ongoing conversation about how we can better support people of color have caused us to examine ourselves, our actions, and our inactions. We appreciate everyone helping us to recognize when we fall short. We should have been better, we can be better, and we will be better.

Värt att notera är att inga av de bannlysta korten var särskilt populära redan innan bannlysningen och används inte i turneringar. Dels för att de rent regeltekniskt inte var särskilt kraftfulla och redan var svåra att få tag på på grund av deras ålder.
